Digital Sound Systems
Digital sound is a system that enables the clear reproduction of film sound through multiple speakers in the modern cinema. Comparing digital sound to normal cinema sound is like comparing a modern day CD to a long playing vinyl record.
DOLBY DIGITAL collects information from the sound track area of the film, passes this information through a sound processor which then feeds the cinema speakers with a multi-channel sound effect.
DTS sound information is in the form of a time code on the film which passes it's information to a CD ROM which then feeds the cinema speakers.
SDDS coded sound information is on the edge of the film which is processed and separated into eight channels which are then fed into the cinema speakers.
All three systems are individually different but give a very clear and distinctly separated sound effect.
The volume from these systems can be varied from low sound to very loud with clarity throughout this range. We strive to obtain an acceptable sound level for all.

The control box is situated unobtrusively to the side of the theatre allows full control of lighting, sound or video projector.
Our fully equipped kitchen and bar will cater for everything from morning and afternoon teas to brunches, supper, hors d'oeuvres, or light meals. A drinks cooler is available to keep your beverages cool as well as a commercial oven, fridge, sink and glasses for your function.
